
Lowell started acting when she appeared in Dangerously Close. She then was a part-time actress as Club Paradise's Assistant Attorney Jamie Ross. The roles she played included co-starring with Bond girl Pam Bouvier, in the James Bond movie Licence to Kill (1989) as well as the Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross, in 1996. She also appeared in Law & Order for two seasons. In 2005, she played the similar role as Jamie Ross on Law & Order: Trial by Jury. And again in 2022 on the show's original. In the immediate time before landing that role, however she was unhappy in her acting career and was considering a degree in documentary filmmaking at New York University. [4] She quit acting around the year 2000. In 2012, Lowell lent her likeness and voice to reprise her Licence to Kill role in the video game 007 Legends. In 2018, she made her return to the screen, appearing as an actor on the show Blue Bloods. [7][8] Personal life Lowell was married three times. Her first husband was a fashion photographer John Stember, to whom she was married from 1984 until 1988. [9][10] She was married from 1989 to 1995 to actor Griffin Dunne and they have a daughter, Hannah. [citation needed] Lowell became engaged to actor Richard Gere in November 2002,[11] following the birth of their child Homer James Jigme Gere which was born in February 2000. [2] In September 2013 the couple divorced after 11 years of marriage. The couple went through three years in a highly contested divorce proceedings in New York Supreme Court. The divorce case was finally resolved in the month of October 2016. [13]
