Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, was raised in Wellington) is the name of a Canadian actress from Canada. Paquin was born in Winnipeg and raised by Wellington Paquin's father, was first seen on stage in the role of Flora McGrath. For this role she received an Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress for the romantic drama The Piano at the young age of 11. She was the second youngest winner in Oscar the history of Oscars. Anna Paquin's full title is Anna Helene Paquin. Born on the 24th of July, 1982 at Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was an Canadian native New Zealand actress. As a child, Paquin won an Academy Award for best support actress. Her role as the empathetic and curious young girl Holly Hunter played in The Piano (1993) was the reason she won the honor.
