Lee
Lee Roy Selmon has a history that combines family scholarship football and volunteering for the community. His first family is that Selmon is the eldest of nine kids who were raised in Eufala by Lucious Selmon. Two soccer. He was one of three brothers who were players for Oklahoma. Three brothers were All-America. Lucious Jr. Dewey, Lee Roy, and Lucious Jr. Dewey started the 1973 season. Lee Roy won the Outland and Lombardi Awards as the nation's most effective lineman. During his three years as the starting quarterback for Oklahoma and Sooners' starting quarterback, they went 32-1-1 and won two national championships. The third scholarship was awarded to him. He was a National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete in 1975. Selmon earned a degree in Education. Lee Roy dedicated ten volunteer hours per week during his time in college. After graduating, Lee Roy settled in Tampa which is where he played for nine years playing with Tampa's Buccaneers. There were three times he was named All-Pro. He began his business career. He began his career in 1988. was working as an Account Relation Officer for First Florida Bank in Tampa. He was employed by the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute and the Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. In 1982, the Junior Chamber of Commerce honored Lee Roy in 1982 for being one of the top 10 youths in the US. Lee Roy was 6'2" tall and weighed 265lbs during his time playing college football. The year 1975 was the first time he led the team. In 1993, he became the assistant director of the University of South Florida. In 1993, the College Football Hall of Fame named the player as a member in the year 1998. GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame, in 1994. Pro Football Hall of Fame In 1995. The Selmons' parents Lucious as well as Mary Selmon, Jr. were awarded the Distinguished American Award in 1989 from the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation. Henry Bellmon the Governor of Oklahoma presented the award.
